Poor kids clean schools at night so the rich folks can? send their kids to learn during the day, and the poor and tired kids can sleep at night. Biggotry coated with sugar. Can someone explain to this man economic inequality originates when the parents are not given the chance to work so the kids can learn the value of work? Denying jobs to the parents that want to work and rediculing those who are frustrated and no longer in search of a job, and lots of people refer Gingrich as "intellectual."

He says education is one of the huge reasons for cash inequality. He then says kids in poor "failing" schools should apply for janitorial duty. Then they're supposed? to "build up"? Build up in the line of work that he is proposing to eliminate with this policy? How the hell does that make any sense at all? The poor kids stay poor, Newt stays rich, and that's the bottom line.

Janitor unions in the poorest neighborhoods cause more income inequality in this country than anything else? They fail because you cut after school programs, cut funding to schools or reduce teachers wages and hours. And yet the people at the top only get richer. Thats why things fail. Failure comes from not investing in our children properly and not giving them the necessary tool they need.? Putting a mop in a 9 year olds hand wont change that you idiot. Give the child a proper education, proper guidance, and show them how to succeed and most will.

Modern janitors must understand caustic chemicals, bio pathogens, and be able to keep school premises up to health codes. To assign this task to children would be to expose them to chemical cleaning hazards, allergens, work place accidents and, since they are only children, would not produce satisfactory results. It would also put a good man out of work, and his own children would suffer. Newt's? suggestion shows how far removed from reality creatures like him are, and it is truly stupid.

While a work-study program tied into? public education is a necessary step in this process, it does not always produce a positive effect or outcome. An example of this is inner-city youth employment initiatives. There is a big difference in raising a young person's aspirations between working in a federal government office like the Dept of Justice or a community non-profit verses scrubbing toilets and pulling weeds for one's school.

I respect wherever you may stand on the political spectrum, but to say that you want to get rid of government jobs is on is incredibly ignorant. 25 million Americans work for? government; that's including those working for federal, state, or local government or the military. I work for a School ...
I work for a School District. One time We had? a Program for Kids to work during the Summer. I am glad they got rid of it. I was Hired as a Groundskeeper Not a Baby Sitter.It was wasting my time trying to get the kids to work, going back over there work and redoing it and ect .
